Confidence:
MEYDAN (5) has looked pretty handy at the trials. This is a very even race however with talent all over the park so it’s not a race we want to dive right into but based on the way MEYDAN (5) comes into this, he’s worth a bet.
SUGGESTED BET: $10 Each Way Meydan (5) at $5 or better.
Race 2
Confidence:
The start will be important here but I did think EVA MATEO (3) was a decent hope of crossing the main danger JOANNA (2). They are clearly the two hardest to beat but there’s no value at the top end of the market. I’m not sure she can win but ISABELLA PRINCESS (1) has actually looked pretty zippy at the trials so she looks decent overs in the betting.
SUGGESTED BET: $5 Win x $15 Place on Isabella Princess (1) at $21 or better.
Race 3
Confidence:
HAVE NO FEAR (4) was most impressive on debut in New Zealand and the recent Melton trial he looks primed for this. The polemarker might be a touch of overs but there’s nothing of real note so we’ll stay involved through the Early Quaddie but sit this one out.

Race 4
Confidence:
I was very keen on CALVERT HOT SHOT (7) here and the market has obliged opening him a more than fair price. The small field suits and I think with a hint of early pressure, he can win this at a nice price.
SUGGESTED BET: $35 Win on Calvert Hot Shot (7) at $3.50 or better.
Race 5
Confidence:
IM A DENNY TOO (9) has been well found by the market assessor’s so given the uncertainty of what may unfold early, there’s not much of interest, if the top pick gets on the drift out to an each-way price he’s worth a play but otherwise we’ll be focused on Quaddies.
SUGGESTED BET: $15 Each Way on Im A Denny Too (9) at $5 or better.
Race 6
Confidence:
PEREGRINE PHOENIX (2) draws to be hard to beat but this is another step up for her. BEEFOUR BACARDI (10) is fairly tight in the market but does look the threat. There is plenty of value here that could spice up the exotics but I’m struggling to find the right way to craft trifectas so we’re going to keep our powder dry here.
SUGGESTED BET: Nothing Significant.
Race 7
Confidence:
YIANNI (5) is a deserved favourite here, KEAYANG JACKIE (3) is stepping up so might be a touch short with FINAL PEACE (2) the other most likely if she can speed to the pegs early. We won’t go all out but they do look the top three to my eye which gives us the chance to have a fly at trifectas.

Confidence:
LETHERHAIRDOWN (8) picks herself for Quaddies, you can consider playing small savers in Quaddies with VILLAGE VOICE (1) and/or SHADY DANCER (4) but the deep odds-on favourite should be too good.

Race 9
Confidence:
In a five horse field, every horse will start in single figures, IRON CHARIOT (1) and MATTS DELIGHT (3) looks the two on their best form but it’s probably better to sit back and learn from this for future reference.

Early Quaddie
This looks a pretty nice Early Quaddie tonight with plenty of value through the first and last legs, we’ll also play for a little split in the second leg but we will rely on the odds-on pop to win the third leg if we’re to get something out of this.
